Artist Briman.
BIO
Briman is a photographic artist from the South West of England now residing in Essex, UK.
Being brought up surrounded by the beautiful haunting landscapes of rural North Devon it is no wonder that these styles play a massive part in his work.
Having lived in 4 different countries Briman in his own words admits to having an amazing back catalogue of location knowledge to fall back on as most of this time was spent searching out that elusive location to tell the stories his pictures portray.
It is at these locations he single-handedly takes on the role of Set Designer, Director, Producer, Costume Designer, Prop Master and Director of Photography to create the ambience in his work.
His artistic career began at an early age when he finally graduated after spending 3 years at art college in Devon, it is there he studied in depth acrylic painting techniques coupled with screen printing design, these featured heavily in his earlier work which can now be found hanging in all four corners of the earth.
Briman’s work is now heavily photography based with each piece taking a lot of research, planning and choreographing to create the exact atmosphere of the idea that sit’s within the mind of the artist.
His work is based around events past, present or even futuristic but everything tells a story, you just have to look for it or make your own story up, that way' you the viewer to a point can become the script writer as each piece may have a different meaning depending on your own journey through life.
